Country Music Legend Charlie Daniels joins 600,000 other Americans who suffer a stroke each year

Country Music legend Charlie Daniels is recovering from a mild stroke this week while snowboarding in Colorado. Daniels says he sought immediate medical treatment after he noticed the left side of his body began to go numb. He was lucky. Every 53 seconds someone in the United States has a stroke; that’s 600,000 people a year. Stroke is the third leading cause of death behind heart disease and cancer and is the leading cause of serious, long-term disability.
