Spring Hill officials announced that Centennial Medical Center, part of TriStar Health System, has filed a certificate of need (CON) for a satellite emergency department in the Spring Hill area of northern Maury County.

In an economic climate where many businesses and industries are struggling, Southern Hills Medical Center posted record admissions in Inpatient Admissions and Emergency Department visits in May. “May is typically a slower month for hospitals because of the long holiday weekend and the beginning of the summer vacation season,” said Thomas Ozburn, chief executive officer Southern Hills Medical Center.

Golden Girls Star Rue McClanahan Death sheds light on stroke-America’s #3 killer

Golden Girl TV actor Rue McClanahan died on June 3rd after suffering a massive stroke at the age of 76. McClanahan, who played Blanche Devereaux on the still-popular '80s sitcom Golden Girls, had suffered a minor stroke earlier this year while recovering from bypass surgery.
