3D mammography

We are dedicated to finding breast cancer at its earliest stage. 3D mammography is a proven screening exam that results in cancer detection improvement while decreasing patient call backs. We can provide more detailed, accurate results with this advanced technology. Our tools enable radiologists to view the breast layer by layer, allowing earlier detection of small cancers that may be hidden in the surrounding tissue. 3D mammography is approved for all women who would otherwise be undergoing a standard mammogram. Multiple clinical studies show that it is valuable for all women, regardless of breast type or density. As part of routine women's care, it is recommended that women receive annual mammograms beginning at 40 years old. Women at high risk for breast cancer should begin screening mammograms at 30 years old or in accordance with their doctor's recommendation.

Benefits of screening for breast cancer

We partner with Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute to help fight breast cancer through advanced technology and patient-focused care. Regular screening for breast cancer can increase your chances of finding if you have cancer at an early stage, when treatment is more likely to be successful. Otherwise, a person with no symptoms may not find out they have breast cancer until after a routine screening mammogram.

Helping patients navigate a breast cancer diagnosis

We offer breast health navigators, healthcare professionals trained in breast cancer care, to guide and support patients and their families through the many challenges of breast cancer. Our navigators are dedicated to bringing together all multidisciplinary team members involved in a patient's care.

A breast health navigator provides assistance with:

  • Understanding diagnosis and available treatment options
  • Understanding what resources are available and how to access them
  • Overcoming barriers and coordinating care with the entire healthcare team
  • Understanding your medications
  • Connecting you to outside resource centers
  • Providing educational materials
  • Improving communication between the healthcare team and hosting multidisciplinary breast cancer conferences to assure personalized breast cancer treatment for each patient
  • Offering patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials
