Advanced treatment for Barrett’s Esophagus

You probably have experienced heart burn at some point in your life and, while much of the time, the condition goes away on its own, some people experience chronic heartburn. This may be a condition called acid reflux or, in severe cases, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

GERD can cause a potentially serious condition in which the esophageal lining transforms to something like the lining in your intestines. This condition is known as Barrett’s Esophagus, and it can increase your risk of esophageal cancer.

GI specialists are TriStar Greenview use innovative techniques to treat Barrett’s Esophagus, such as radiofrequency ablation (RFA). This procedure destroys damaged cells with heat while sparing surrounding tissue.

Your physician will discuss your risk factors with you and work with you to create a treatment plan based on your needs.
