TriStar Horizon welcomes three new members to its 2025 Board of Trustees

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is pleased to announce its 2025 Board of Trustees with three new members. Renee Boehm, Laura Travis and Ted Williams will begin their terms in January. 

Each member of the Board of Trustees is chosen for their dedication to the medical center in its mission, as well as for their ability to represent the medical profession and the community. 

Renee Boehm is the executive director of the Dickson County Help Center, a non-profit, public corporation chartered for the purpose of providing aid in the form of food, clothing and limited financial assistance to the citizens of Dickson County on an emergency basis. She has been integral to the Help Center’s growth since 2005, when she started as the assistant program director. Renee serves the community through involvement in many civic groups, committees and boards. 

Laura Travis serves as the president of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson where she has been employed for over twenty-six years. Previous roles at the TCAT include academic affairs/health careers coordinator and executive vice president of academic affairs and compliance. She is a graduate of Dickson County High School and earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Tennessee Tech University. Prior to joining TCAT Dickson, she worked as a registered nurse in hospital and home health settings. Laura is a graduate of Leadership Dickson County and Leadership Middle Tennessee. She is involved in several community organizations and is a past chairman of the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce. 

Ted Williams is the chief executive officer and president of TriStar Bank, a local community bank that he helped organize in 1999. He has served as a community banker in Dickson County for over 37 years. He is a graduate of Dickson County High School, Freed-Hardeman University and Graduate School of Banking of the South at L.S.U. He also holds an M.B.A. from Tennessee State University. He is involved in many areas of the community, including Walnut Street Church of Christ, Leadership Middle Tennessee, Dickson Lion’s Club and the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at Freed-Hardeman University.
