Urinary tract infection care
Urinary tract infections, or UTIs, are the most common infections urologists treat. These types of infections involve the bladder, kidneys, ureters or urethra. Typically occurring in adults, UTIs develop when bacteria enters the urinary tract through the urethra and multiply in the bladder.
The most common UTIs include cystitis and urethritis. Women have a greater risk of developing these types of infections due to their reproductive anatomy.
If urinary tract infections go untreated, they can cause serious medical complications, including permanent kidney damage or sepsis. If you believe you are experiencing symptoms of a UTI, schedule a consultation with our urologists. For a free referral, please call (800) 242-5662.
TriStar Health is proud to partner with the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute to diagnose and treat cancers of the bladder, kidney, prostate and testicles.
