Adult Hematology/BMT Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Director

Dr. Siler received her PharmD from the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy in 2008. She then completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and her PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham. She joined the pharmacy team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in 2011 as a BMT/Oncology Pharmacy Specialist. Dr. Siler manages the Adult Inpatient Blood and Marrow Transplantation Service and serves as a preceptor for Hematology/Oncology for the PGY-1 residents. Dr. Siler also serves as the PGY2 Oncology Residency Director and the primary preceptor for Inpatient Hematology, Inpatient BMT and Advanced Heme/BMT for the PGY-2 resident.

Dr. Matthews received her PharmD from Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2010. She then completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at TriStar Centennial Medical Center and her PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at University of Washington/UW Medicine in Seattle, WA. She joined the pharmacy team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in 2012 as a BMT/Oncology Pharmacy Specialist. Dr. Matthews manages the Adult Outpatient Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplantation, and Immune Effector Cell Services. She serves as primary preceptor for Outpatient Hematology and Stem Cell Transplant for the PGY-2 residents.

Adult Hematology/Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Li received her PharmD from the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy in 2017 and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. She then joined the pharmacy team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in 2019 as an Oncology Pharmacy Specialist. Belinda splits her time between managing inpatient medical oncology, inpatient hematology/BMT, and outpatient hematology/BMT. She serves as the primary preceptor for Hematology/Oncology for the PGY-1 residents and Medical Oncology, Advanced Medical Oncology Gynecologic oncology and Palliative Care for the PGY-2 resident.

Infectious Diseases / Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Casey received his PharmD from the Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy in 2015. He then completed his PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN and his PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency with the University Houston College of Pharmacy and Cardinal Health in Houston, TX. He joined the pharmacy team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in 2017 as the Infections Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. Dr. Casey manages the antimicrobial stewardship program at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, as well as serves as the primary preceptor for all Infectious Diseases rotations for the PGY-1 and PGY-2 programs.

Director, Oncology Pharmacy Clinical Operations, HealthTrust & Sarah Cannon

Dr. Elayan received his PharmD from Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy in 2011. He then went on to complete his PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He then practiced for five years as a Heme/Onc/BMT clinical pharmacist and an Oncology Pharmacy Manager before accepting his current position. Dr. Elayan currently supports clinical and operational processes at HCA and Sarah Cannon’s seven BMT/IECT sites along with HCA’s almost 190 hospitals.

Oncology Pharmacy Manager/Research Specialist

Dr. Parsons received her PharmD from East Tennessee State University Gatton College of Pharmacy in 2013. She then completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and her PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at the University of Louisville Hospital/James Graham Brown Cancer Center. After completing residency, Dr. Parsons worked as an oncology clinical specialist at the University of Louisville Hospital in various solid tumor clinics. She then joined the pharmacy team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in 2018 as the Medical Oncology/Research Specialist. In 2020, Dr. Parsons stepped into the new role of Oncology Pharmacy Manager/Research Specialist. She now helps to coordinate both clinical and operational activities for the oncology pharmacy department. Dr. Parsons is the primary preceptor for investigational drugs and drug information. She also co-precepts the leadership rotation with Dr. Elayan as the facility preceptor.

Pediatric Oncology/BMT Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Bruce received her PharmD from the Auburn University in 2006. She then completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) in 2007. Right after residency, she was the Clinical Pharmacist for Pediatric Oncology at CHOA Scottish Rite. Then Dr. Bruce moved to Nashville, where she became the Pediatric BMT Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in 2009. In 2015, she joined the pediatric pharmacy team at The Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. Dr. Bruce now serves as the Pediatric Oncology/BMT Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, working closely with the multidisciplinary team both in the inpatient pediatric oncology unit, and in the outpatient clinic and infusion center. She is the Pharmacy Primary Investigator for Children’s Oncology Group, and helps manage pediatric oncology clinical trials. She precepts the Pediatric Oncology/BMT rotation for PGY2 oncology resident.
