TriStar Centennial Medical Center expands cancer care with the addition of orthopedic oncology

Nashville, TN - TriStar Centennial Medical Center is pleased to expand care for cancer patients across Middle Tennessee and beyond with the addition of orthopedic oncology services for adult and pediatric patients. Orthopedic oncology is a specialized service that treats tumors of the bones, soft tissues and connective tissues of the musculoskeletal system.
“The addition of orthopedic oncology represents a significant step forward in providing specialized care for patients facing complex bone and soft tissue cancers,” said Carley Paul, vice president of oncology at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. “A multidisciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons, oncologists and rehabilitation experts will ensure our patients have access to the highest quality of personalized care, right here in our own community.”
The orthopedic oncology team will offer biopsies, joint injections, reconstructive surgery, excision of soft tissue sarcomas and hip and knee surgery. At TriStar Centennial, cancer care is backed by the Sarah Cannon Cancer Network which includes nurse navigators who support patients along their journey from start to finish.
