Breast cancer screening
A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast. Our breast health specialists use this diagnostic tool to detect cancer and other abnormalities as early as possible. With our breast imaging service, you will have the peace of mind you deserve. Also, any mammograms you have already completed will seamlessly transfer to our imaging department to give us a comprehensive picture of your breast health and medical history.
In addition to mammograms, our imaging center offers a range of other tests, including:
- Biopsies: extraction of cells or tissues to detect cancer and other diseases
- Bone density testing, also called a dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry, or DEXA, scans: measures bone density loss, which is a risk factor associated with breast cancer
- Breast ultrasound: the use of sound waves to create an image of the breast's internal structures
Taking care of your breast health has never been easier. We offer convenient online mammogram scheduling. Once you arrive for your exam, the entire screening should take 30 to 45 minutes. Our compassionate staff includes radiologists and technologists who are specially trained in breast exams, and who are ready to make your experience comfortable and quick.
