PGY1 Residency Program Director — Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Moore is currently the PGY-1 Residency Program Director and Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at TriStar Summit Medical Center, where he provides clinical pharmacy services for the medical, surgical, and neonatal intensive care units. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2011. Upon conferment of his degree, he completed a pharmacy practice residency and a PGY-2 residency specializing in critical care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Moore is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist as well as Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist. He serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy. He is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Outside of work, Dr. Moore enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and attending sporting events.

PGY1 Residency Program Coordinator — Clinical Pharmacy Manager

Dr. Stephens began his career in pharmacy at Tristar Summit Medical Center as a pharmacy technician in 2003 just prior to starting his undergraduate degree work at Lipscomb University. After graduating from Lipscomb, he completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2011 from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy followed by a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System. Alex returned to Tristar Summit after residency as a clinical pharmacist and transitioned into his current role in antimicrobial stewardship in 2016 where he works to co-lead the antimicrobial management program for the facility. He is recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and is a member of The American College of Clinical Pharmacy, The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Society of Infectious Disease Pharmacists. He has also been awarded several honors including the Frist Humanitarian Award and the Facts & Comparisons Award for Excellence in Clinical Communication. Alex precepts pharmacy students from both The University of TN and Lipscomb University colleges of pharmacy. Outside of professional activities, Dr. Stephens volunteers with a non-profit organization called Christian Community Services Inc. and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

Director of Pharmacy

Dr. Bruck began his career at TriStar Summit Medical Center in 2017 as the pharmacy operations manager. In 2018 he accepted the role as director of pharmacy. He received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Loras College in Dubuque, IA and his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Iowa in 2011. Looking for a transition to warmer weather and to experience big city living, he received his PGY-1 residency training at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN in 2012. After that, he began his career there as a clinical pharmacist in pediatrics, oncology, and intensive care as well as a staff pharmacist. He is recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. He enjoys serving as a preceptor for students from both the University of Tennessee and Belmont University colleges of pharmacy. He enjoys the student and resident interaction while precepting in management and administrative rotations. He enjoys taking part in community initiatives, especially those that take place outdoors. During his free time he enjoys Big 10 sports, baseball, camping, fishing, and spending time with his wife and new daughter.

Clinical/Staff Pharmacist – Internal Medicine

Dr. Robinson serves as one of the clinical/staff pharmacists here at TriStar Summit Medical Center as well as preceptor for the PGY-1 residency program focusing on internal medicine. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Lipscomb in 2009, he went on to complete his Doctor of Pharmacy from Lipscomb University as well. Dr. Robinson was then a part of the inaugural class for the PGY-1 residency at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN which he completed in 2015. Afterwards, he continued his career at Maury Regional where he was the internal medicine preceptor for PGY-1 residents and fourth year pharmacy students from Lipscomb University. On his days off, Jordan enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, and watching sports.

Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Hobbs is also an Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at Tristar Summit Medical Center working seven-on seven-off rotation. Luke received his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Tennessee in 2011 and his Doctor of Pharmacy from South College School of Pharmacy in 2014. Following pharmacy school, Luke completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN which is a sister facility to Tristar Summit Medical Center. Luke has completed clinical research involving the use of Exparel® in unilateral total knee arthroplasty and has received numerous achievements in academics and patient care. Currently, Luke is pursuing board certification in pharmacotherapy. He is a member of the Tennessee Pharmacists Association and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and holds BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications. On his days off, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife, playing golf, traveling, and attending sporting events.

Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Hoffman is an Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at TriStar Summit Medical Center. She attended the University of Alabama for her undergraduate training and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Belmont University College of Pharmacy in 2013. Her passions include emergency medicine, trauma, and critical care. She has gained extensive experience in these areas over the past six years. Prior to her current role, Dr. Hoffman was a critical care specialist working with medical ICU, trauma ICU, and cardiovascular ICU patients. Dr. Hoffman is recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Outside of work, Dr. Hoffman enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and attending sporting events.

Clinical/Staff Pharmacist

As a clinical/staff pharmacist, Dr. Ralph works to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care for inpatients. She serves as preceptor for the longitudinal pharmacy services/staffing experience for the PGY-1 residency program at TriStar Summit Medical Center. After completing her undergraduate course work at Tennessee Tech, Dr. Ralph graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 2015. She completed a PGY1 residency at Baptist Health Madisonville, a community teaching hospital, in Madisonville, KY. Outside of work, Dr. Ralph enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling and watching sports.

Clinical Literature Evaluation & Application

Dr. West splits her time staffing in the central pharmacy and working within an interdisciplinary team on the floors as a clinical pharmacist at Summit Medical Center. She serves as preceptor for the drug information longitudinal experience for the PGY1 residency program. Prior to her current role, Dr. West managed an anticoagulation clinic and inpatient anticoagulation service. After completing her undergraduate course work at Middle Tennessee State University, Dr. West graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in 2009. She completed a PGY1 and Geriatric PGY2 residency at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, AR. Away from work, Dr. West enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and watching movies.

Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Rubio began his career as the infectious diseases clinical pharmacist in 2021. He received his undergrad degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University in 2014 and his Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in 2019. Dr. Rubio began his hospital experience at Methodist Hospital with The University of Texas and UT Health in San Antonio, Texas for his PGY1 and later completed his PGY2 in infectious diseases with HCA Healthcare/TriStar Division with The University of Tennessee in Nashville, Tennessee. His interests within infectious diseases include rapid diagnostics, antibiotic resistance, and HIV. Dr. Rubio is extremely enthusiastic to be the preceptor for the infectious diseases learning experience at TriStar Summit Medical Center. When you catch Dr. Rubio outside of the hospital, he can be found on the couch watching Netflix or Disney Plus, at a new hip restaurant in town working on his Yelp Elite status, or traveling.

Clinical/Staff Pharmacist – Cardiology/Neurology

Dr. Oakley is a clinical/staff pharmacist here at TriStar Summit Medical Center. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky in 2015, and went on to complete his Doctorate of Pharmacy at Belmont University in 2019. His aspirations to pursue clinical pharmacy led him to complete a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Baptist Health Madisonville in Madisonville, Kentucky in 2020. While there he was able to further explore his interest in cardiology. Christian is excited to serve as preceptor for the PGY1 cardiology/neurology learning experience at TriStar Summit Medical Center. He is a member of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists. During his free time he enjoys running, being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and watching soccer.

Clinical/Staff Pharmacist

Dr. Davis serves as one of the clinical/staff pharmacists here at TriStar Summit Medical Center as well as preceptor for the PGY-1 residency program, focusing on the staffing component of the residency program. Her role as the late shift pharmacist allows her to observe and precept residents, one-on-one during their staffing responsibilities. Dr. Davis received her bachelor’s degree from Manchester University (Manchester, IN) in 2014, she went on to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy from Belmont University College of Pharmacy (Nashville, TN) in 2018. After pharmacy school she completed her PGY-1 residency with TriStar Centennial Medical Center, and went on to complete a PGY-2 in Psychiatry, with a focus in Emergency Medicine, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center as well. Dr. Davis is recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties as a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and Board-Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist. She is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI). Her passions within pharmacy are Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry. Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys traveling with her husband and two dogs, Indy and Echo.
