We use the latest technologies to detect and treat a variety of conditions, from cardiovascular emergencies to all types of cancer. We offer private suites and a range of imaging services to meet your needs, including:
Diagnostic radiology
Our hospital uses the latest imaging technologies to help diagnose disease and determine the extent of an injury or illness. Diagnostic radiology services we offer include:
Computed tomography (CT) angiography
An angiography is an X-ray test to examine the blood or lymph vessels. It is used to determine the extent and location of narrowed arteries, which is associated with serious cardiovascular condition, such as heart disease and stroke.
Fluoroscopy
Fluoroscopy uses an X-ray beam to produce real-time images of body structures. These imaging scans can detect a wide range of conditions, including cancer, affecting different parts of the body.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
MRI scans use magnetic fields and a computer to see the inner details of many areas of the body, including the abdomen, bile ducts, brain, breasts and musculoskeletal system.
Nuclear medicine
Nuclear medicine refers to the use of radioactive substances to detect various conditions and diseases. One example is a positron emission tomography (PET) scan. During this test, radioactive material can be used to reveal abnormal cell activity.
Ultrasound imaging
Ultrasound technology uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of body structures. For example, cardiac ultrasound - also known as echocardiography - gives cardiologists a complete picture of the inside of the heart. Ultrasound can be used to examine organs, muscles, tendons and blood vessels.
4D ultrasound
In addition to traditional ultrasounds, our outpatient imaging center has advanced 4D ultrasound technology. The ultrasound, which uses sound waves to produce images, is often used during biopsies and for procedures related to women's health issues, such as:
- Breast health
- Obstetrics
- Pelvic health
Breast health diagnostics
Our imaging center includes a modern mammography suite, an ultrasound suite and a bone density testing suite. These private, dedicated imaging areas enable us to utilize advanced breast screening procedures for detecting breast cancer and other diseases while maximizing your comfort. Imaging services we provide for breast health screening include:
Digital mammography
Digital mammography uses X-rays to examine the breasts. The results are precise, enabling your medical team to detect abnormalities too small to be felt.
Stereotactic breast biopsy
If an abnormality is found during your mammogram, we may recommend a stereotactic breast biopsy. This procedure uses mammography technology to guide a biopsy (taking a tissue or cell sample to confirm the presence or extent of a disease).
Bone density scans
These scans use X-rays to measure bone density. The results help doctors detect issues like bone loss and osteoporosis that could result in orthopedic problems. Bone density is related to estrogen production, so your doctor may recommend completing a bone density scan along with an annual mammogram.
