Outpatient surgery

Outpatient procedures, especially same-day appointments, are a convenient option for many tests and surgeries that previously required an overnight stay at our hospital. Your physician and surgical team will assess your overall health and wellness goals to determine if outpatient surgery is an option for your condition.

Minimally invasive surgery

As part of our commitment to patient safety, we use minimally invasive surgical techniques whenever possible. Some procedures involving the abdomen and pelvis can be performed laparoscopically. During a laparoscopic procedure, your doctor will insert a thin tube into your body. This tube has a camera and a light on the end, and it allows your surgeon to see into the body without having to make a large incision.

Robotic surgery

During robotic surgery, a procedure is performed by equipment controlled by a highly trained surgeon sitting at a nearby console. The surgeon is in control at all times, giving them the ability to adapt to changes in patient position, providing greater precision and efficiency to decrease operating times. In addition, the enhanced dexterity allows doctors to make fewer and even smaller incisions that were not previously possible. This means surgeries can be performed with increased accuracy tailored to the anatomy of each individual patient.

The smaller incisions made during minimally invasive surgery result in many benefits for our patients, including:

  • Less scarring
  • Less pain
  • Quicker recovery time
