FAQs

We've provided a list of  common questions and answers about our diagnostics and laboratory services for your convenience.

What are your hours of operation?

The lab is open 24/7, however, registration is required for lab work. Registration hours are from 6:00am to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday, and from 7:00am to 3:30pm on Saturday. If you arrive at any other time, you can register for your lab work in our emergency department.

Do I have to register every time I come to the lab?

For your safety, we treat each of your visits to our lab as a new visit. This ensures we have your information correct in our system. We will do our very best to make this process as quick as possible.

Am I required to give the lab my insurance card every time?

Some insurance plans require you to use a particular lab for processing. We will collect the specimen, then send it to the lab required by your insurance. A copy of your insurance card is required to send with your specimen, but we do not keep this on file for future visits.

Do I need to do anything special before I arrive for my lab work?

Often, your provider may order lab work that requires you to fast. Ask your provider if you need to fast, and, if so, for how long.

What can I expect during a visit to the lab?

Our phlebotomists are highly trained and we use the smallest devices available to draw your blood. We strive to make this process as quick and painless as possible.

How do I get a copy of my lab test results?

Lab test results are sent to your provider(s). If your insurance requires processing to occur at another lab, that lab will send the results to your provider. If you would like to obtain a copy of lab test results processed at our lab, you may contact your provider for the lab test results. Be sure to present to our Health Information Management department, located on the first floor, to obtain a copy. For your privacy, you must bring your photo ID and sign a waiver prior to release of your personal health information.
