Birthing center in Nashville, Tennessee

TriStar Centennial Women's Hospital understands every birth is unique. Our experienced obstetrician/gynecologists (OB/GYNs) and nurses value individualized maternity care and are dedicated to giving you a memorable, special experience as you welcome your new child to the world.

For a free physician referral or more information, call TriStar MedLine® at (800) 242-5662.

Our labor and delivery team is focused on creating a family-centered birth environment that is both safe and comfortable for moms and babies.

Our 12-bed maternity unit offers a variety of low-intervention birth techniques, including peanut balls and nitrous oxide. We also have anesthesia onsite 24/7 for epidurals and any other pain management that might be needed.

Should you need a C-section, our OB/GYNs and surgical teams are trained using a unique surgical drape that allows you to have skin-to-skin contact with your newborn immediately after birth. Your baby is passed through an opening in the drape so you don't miss a second of bonding time. The opening is then resealed to maintain a sterile surgical field while the procedure is completed.

Following your baby’s birth, you will have a private room to recover and spend time getting to know your child. These rooms were designed to have a home-like atmosphere to keep you comfortable during your stay with us. We have certified lactation consultants who come around to help you navigate any breastfeeding concerns, both before and after birth.

Midwifery care

Our certified nurse midwives (CNMs) provide guidance throughout your pregnancy through postpartum recovery, including hands-on physical support during labor and birth. We provide clinical care, education and counseling to fit your individual needs. Additionally, our midwives work in collaboration with our 24/7 in-house laborist physicians.

Childbirth education classes

We want the best for you and your baby, so we help you prepare for your baby's arrival with a variety of prenatal and parenting classes.
