Hermitage, Tenn. (February 15, 2022) – TriStar Summit Medical Center announced today an expansion and renovation project to enhance emergency services offered to Hermitage and the surrounding communities. The project will add a 25-bed Observation Unit which will aid and more efficiently assess emergency patients in the diagnosis and treatment of their care before admission. The unit is designed to observe patients for up to 48 hours prior to being admitted or discharged based on their diagnosis.

We are excited to provide this level of care in a new state-of-the-art location.”
The new 15,863 square-foot unit is being built near the Emergency Department and essential departments specific to diagnosis, such as imaging and cardiovascular services. The project also includes the renovation of 4,600 square-feet of imaging space, as well as additional improvements including a new CT room, echocardiography room and two additional cardiac stress test rooms.
TriStar Summit will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on February 22, 2022, at 2:22 pm. The project is expected to be completed Fall 2022.
