Breast imaging services
Our breast imaging services meet and exceed high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs. For this, we are proud to be recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
We are also recognized by the gold standard for breast center accreditation — the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). This accreditation is granted to centers that commit to providing the best possible comprehensive care to patients with breast diseases.
3D mammograms
We are committed to finding breast cancer at its earliest stage. 3D mammography is a proven screening exam that results in cancer detection improvement while decreasing patient callbacks. This advanced technology helps us provide more detailed, accurate results by enabling our radiologists to view the breast layer by layer. This allows for the earlier detection of small cancer cells that may be hidden in the surrounding tissue.
3D mammography is approved for all women who would otherwise be undergoing a standard mammogram. As part of routine women's care, it is recommended that women receive annual mammograms beginning at 40 years old. Women at high risk for breast cancer should begin screening mammograms at 30 years old or in accordance with their doctor's recommendation.
Benefits of screening for breast cancer
We partner with Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute to help fight breast cancer through advanced technology and patient-focused care. Regular screenings for breast cancer can increase our chances of finding cancer at an early stage when treatment is more likely to be successful. Otherwise, a person with no symptoms may not find out they have breast cancer until after a routine screening mammogram.
